JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Medical Scribe assists the physician in a hospital setting by transcribing clinical information.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Accurately and thoroughly document medical visits and procedures as they are being described and performed by the physician, including but not limited to:
- Conduct preliminary assessments of physicians’ new and follow-up clinic patients.
- Write admission notes and orders for physicians’ patients admitted into the hospital.
- Write outpatient orders for chemotherapy, IV fluids, transfusions, growth factors, etc.
- Assist with physician’s clinic-related paperwork.
- Assist with physician’s miscellaneous clinic activities.
